Happy Anniversary! Great share! I'm going this month and I haven't been for years. As an art school alumna, your Substack is a reminder to stay curious
Thank you for your great work, Rebecca. I hope substack will remain a place where we explore our passions regardless of what's fashionable, and hopefully we'll attract likeminded souls. Just came back from Prague where I have family and OMG, this is how you create a beautiful city! Praha will always be eternally beautiful https://theculturalmuse.substack.com/p/prague-revisited
I went to the Summer Exhibition in 2023 (alone, like I always prefer to) and I remember being surprised or, rather, impressed at how little empty all space there was in some of the rooms... as someone who didn't grow up around art, lacks significantly in knowledge, but has use it as a refuge for a long time, London and 'its' exhibitions made a significantly positive dent in my life (probably the reason why I came to follow your newsletter, which i love, btw)...maybe it was partly the feeling of belonging to that so called audience ‘of the first fashion, I can't never pinpoint for what reasons I enjoy art, but I doubt it's completely devoid of vanity...
Immediately googled Emily Allchurch because that Breugel project sounds fascinating. Congrats on one year, Rebecca!
Yes, I was very impressed with her works!
I went to the Summer Exhibition in 2023 and 2024, but missed this year. So sad. But you've brought it alive for me, Rebecca, thank you!
And many congratulations on your Substack anniversary.
Thank you Yasmin! <3

Really glad to hear you are keeping that art school spark alive!
Keep going, Rebecca! I always enjoy reading your posts. 👏👏
Thank you for your continued support, Pierre!
Quite a story! Happy anniversary!
Thank you Ariees!
Happy Substack Birthday! And thank you for this wonderful exhibition tour to celebrate 🥳
Aww thanks Holly <3
I love this! Your story made me smile 😄
Thank you so much for reading, Orly!
Are those 'after Breugel's prints of paintings, or digital collages, or something else??
They are prints -- photography and digital collage
Thanks!
Happy anniversary, my fellow Humanity degree human! (Linguistics for, at least the grammar helps).
> The one showing currently is the 257th Summer Exhibition in a row.
I'm impressed it even ran throughout WW2, even if it was scaled down.

Love your choice of Emily Allchurch and I’d enjoy seeing more of your favourites or ‘almosts’ with your rationale. 🇨🇦
I am definitely of the first fashion.
Your Substack is delightful. Your style is so accessible and I'm learning so much about art. Keep at it!
Congrats on one year!! I am so glad you're here - your substack is one of my absolute favorites! I get so excited when I see it in my inbox!
